The Product
Anzens is a platform that enables companies to pay employees, contractors, and partners across borders using USDA, a fully reserved Cardano-native stablecoin. It reduces fees, delays, and bureaucracy while allowing receivers to withdraw funds locally without exposure to crypto volatility.
The Problem
Cross-border payments are slow, expensive, and complex. Companies faced:
High transaction fees
Long settlement times
Heavy bureaucracy and intermediaries
People receiving payments faced delays and unpredictable exchange rates, limited access to traditional banking, and confusion around crypto concepts required to get paid. DeFi concepts like wallets, recovery phrases, and minting introduced friction and caused users to drop off or make critical mistakes.
My Role
Led discovery and competitive research
Worked closely with PMs, engineers, and partners to define requirements
Designed onboarding and transaction flows for companies and receivers
Translated DeFi mechanics into understandable, finance-familiar interactions
Designed and documented a partner backoffice so stakeholders could manage users and transactions
Built and maintained the design system
Ran usability testing and iterated based on real user feedback
Supported QA and UAT through launch
Outcomes
Company onboarding increased, with early adoption from the US and Gulf countries
Onboarding abandonment dropped after simplifying flows and clarifying recovery-phrase handling
Support tickets decreased, especially around wallet creation and security concepts
Partners moved from manual spreadsheets to a dedicated backoffice, reducing approval errors and operational friction
Stakeholders gained confidence to onboard new companies and scale operations
